C Modulo Negative Numbers. Doing an integer division and then multiplying it again means finding the biggest number smaller than a that is dividable by n without a remainder. Here, we are going to learn about the behaviour of modulus operator with the negative numbers.
For example, the numbers modulo 7 actually consist of the 7 classes of integer numbers such that two numbers belong to the same class if their remainder not too many people understand that there is in fact no such thing as negative numbers.
Well, i made this post at 2:00 am and it shows, here is what i have issue with what i want is a more traditional (in my mind) modulo operator, which gives me only positive remainders. I have never wanted truncate to zero or negative modulo numbers, but often want the opposite and need to work around c. How does python handle the modulo operation with negative numbers? In code, 4 % 4 = 0 is always true.
